Game of the Year!
Overwatch 2 has finally and I do mean FINALLY been released and even though it has been out for about 3 weeks now, I have not come to write about it and that’s mainly cause my computer has not had the power to play this game on a level which remotely resembles as adequate given my lack having a graphics card of any kind, but from what I have seen when my frames at least averaged a cool 30fps, this game is bloody awesome.
It is just as good as the old game but it looks even more stunning with the updated graphics and the heroes are even better than they were, ditching the 6v6 format (which I am not really a fan of but it gave us Junker Queen who I am a fan of so fair trade I guess) it removed those flipping awful assault maps, I was approximately 2 more games away from trying to defend Objective A at Volskaya just to be spammed from the back by an enemy Symmetra to using Rein is ult on my own computer, they added 3 new more heroes which is such a welcomed site because playing the same characters all the time was becoming horribly boring even though the new heroes are horrendously overpowered but I am here for that.
Of course the launch of the game was not great as people were put into a waiting line to enter the game, not even to enter a match this was just to enter the game itself, which took longer than me waiting to get a flipping healed by my Mercy when playing tank cause she decided its better to try and damage boost the stupid Pharah that’s going 4/14. Torb was broken to the point he was removed from comp, while Bastion was so broken he was removed from the game altogether. And there are the PVE promises which have yet to be fulfilled and apparently won’t come until 2023 but to all these things it is very important that launching a new game is not easy especially if it is one that comes off a game which needed to be bought in the past and is now free to play, and also this is Blizzard Entertainment and Blizzard going to Blizzard.
All of this said, Overwatch is still my all time favourite game and I know there is a lot bias when I say this but this game is easily the game of the year for me. Now I am not a proper game critic and won’t be as long as I am running a computer that struggles to turn on let alone play video games (Apex Legends and Battlefield V won’t even humour me by opening a match) and so I am the clearly the last authority to be listening to the ranking of video games, but the overall consensus by old players and new alike is that this game is bloody brilliant, it’s a shame that all the skins cost a fortune but you know Blixxard gonna Blizzard.
