FIFA 2022 World Cup Predictions
Top Goal scorer: Kylian Mbappe
Without the Lord Eddard Haaland first of his name to steal his thunder, and the two GOATs getting on with age as well as the absence of the current reigning Balon D'or winner, it shall fall onto to the golden boy of 2018 to try and repeat that feat by leading the French to victory like he did 4 years ago before he had the ego of Zlatan and the drama of Neymar when he is slightly touched by a defender (the man actually dived I'm a friendly early this year, Maradonna wept) but all that aside, Mbappe will have as good as chance as any to help with the defence of the World Cup title to France.
Young Player of the Tournament: Jamal Musiala
I could have easily gone with Jude Bellingham but I do not think England will get far enough in the tournament to even warrant consideration for any of their player doing anything, so I will have to go with the player who has been setting the Bundesliga alight and the one who should have won the Koppa as well as the Golden Boy trophies because this kid is special, firstly, he had the intelligence to declare for Germany and not waste his life being second fiddle in freaking Mason Mount while Harry Maguire is at the back as well, and second he has so much talent in terms of skill, vision and finishing prowess, this is the stage he shall show the world exactly how good he can be.
Biggest Disappointments: Spain
Well I could have gone for England and the USA who I believe will both crash out in the round 16, but I ap pretty sure most of the fans of these nations have come to terms with just how unrealistic their chances are of winning with the English retaining a man who has a brand of football so borrowing he’d make watching paint dry into an Olympic sport by comparison couped with the fact they they are of course England and the USA don’t even know what the name of the sport they’re playing is coupled with the fact that they are the USA, so instead I will go for Spain for the first reason being I am still bitter about snubbing David De Dea (which made as much sense as having a World Cup half way into a season) but the second reason is that i just don’t think they are there yet, they have a good manager yes but outside of some overhyped children, like literal not allowed to drink in certain parts of the world children, they do not have the type of team they had back in the years of yor, with a lame attack, a pretty “meh“ midfield and a backline that looks shakier than a Rick Ross in an earthquake, despite this, some are still putting hope that they could possibly do something of significance but I see them going out in the round of 16 being the biggest disappointment of the competition.
Player of the Tournament: Manuel Neuer
I predict Germany will have a solid to great tournament but to do so they will need to sure up that backline and who better to do that than the greatest keeper of his generation, and a man who has been on something of a redemption arc since 2018 and the debacle against South Korea, all of that into consideration, it looks more than likely to me that he shall be instrumental in a big tournament for the Germans and when someone wins the player of the tournament, normally they belong to the winning nation themselves, so is that the case this time? Yes duh.
Winners: Germany
Now that German coach is the real deal, the absolute truth, this man has the tactical mind to unlock the potential of the talent Germany have and they have a lot of it such as the aforementioned Musiala, the World Cup goalscoring Machine Thomas Mullar and of course the keeper who shall win the competition himself if he has too, they are a complete team across the board and I do not see them worrying about anyone, especially when they meet France in the Final, it shall be a case of better football winning the day and I see Germany playing better than France.
